Black & White Portrait: CHARCOALS!

Hello there, human. I've got more portraits. Now here's some of my "amateur" portraits of some of the famous people:

Apo Whang-od: Charcoal on Canson Sketchpad
Apo Whang-od Oggays a Traditional Filipino Artist from Buscalan, Tinglayan, Kalinga. She's the last "mambabatok" or tattoo artist of the Butbut village and is considered to be one of the oldest "Mambabatok".

I was fascinated by her traditional inks on the skin of her visitors in the Kalinga Province. I was going to give this portrait to her when I planned to go there and inked by her. Unfortunately, some priorities came up. I'll be posting my tatts here if I ever got the chance to visit her.

Bob Marley: Charcoal on Canson Sketchpad
Bob Marley, a free spirited artist from Jamaica, I'm a fan of him not by his songs but by his principles in life and how he view life. :D

Jimi Hendrix:Charcoal on Canson Sketchpad
Jimi Hendrix,  "The greatest instrumentalist in the history of rock music". according to Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Amplifies the rock and roll music in the 50's and 60' because of his skills in using the electric guitar.

Chester Bennington: Charcoal on Vellum board
Chester Bennington or Chester B. is the lead vocalist of Linkin Park. I'm always captivated by his unique vocals. Well, one of my favorite band is Linkin Park so I decided to paint him as a tribute. Rock on Chester. I gave this one to a friend because he's a fan of Linkin Park.

Experiment with watercolor pencil

Here's my old original character design using watercolor pencil. He's my "alter person" , adventurer, meek and modern.
I posted this late because I thought I wont be able to update my blog, but after almost 4 years, here I am. And I'm back.

I used Faber Castell Water color pencil for this character.
